Paper Trading is an essential part of becoming a consistently successful trader. Statistical researchers have done extensive studies on students who take crash
courses or try to learn a complicated concept or field of study. The researchers discovered that most students who crash through a new training program leave that day with an exaggerated view of how much they have learned about stocks and the market. Crash courses do not make you an expert in any field of study. What happens is that elation and exuberance quickly shift to frustration and disappointment. Learning about the stock market is no different than any other field of study.
It is one thing to learn about the stock market, but applying that knowledge to trade stocks is entirely different. Those traders who learn to paper trade stocks, practice and experiment are the traders everyone yearns to be. TechniTrader® provides in-depth paper trading practice for our students. We also provide access to simulated trading programs and offer student guidance. TechniTrader® wants each student to trade stocks successfully. A complete stock market education is key to reaching your goals.
Simulated Trading is nearly identical to trading live in the stock market and gives beginners the feel for how to enter and exit trades, how orders are executed, and how to use their on-line brokerage account. Trading Simulators are a similar concept to pilot simulators. They allow you to make mistakes without causing serious financial damage.
Before you buy any training course, make sure that the training comes with both paper trading and simulated trading.
Advanced traders: paper trading is part of trading. Whenever you alter your trading style or strategy, whenever you adjust indicators, and whenever you change your trading parameters, you need to verify through paper trading that your theory is correct. Professionals often paper trade a new theory or strategy for many months before ever going live in the stock market.
